Clinical Pharmacology and Oncology
At the base of treatment appropriateness are the understanding of drugs' working mechanisms in healthy and sick individuals and drugs' dynamic and kinetic aspects.
If this is particularly relevant in general terms, it is necessary in oncological diseases where the pharmacogenetic basis of response to treatments is becoming a key tool for personalized therapy that, in turn, is the most innovative aspect of modern personalized medicine. This unit gathers experience and specific knowledge both of pre-clinical and clinical pharmacology and oncology, making it unique in the University.
